LG has decided he has to show his cards before arriving at CES 2016 in January, to begin to talk about their new notebooks and monitors before we can touch them. We like to see that the Korean company is striving to create really attractive computers, as we already saw a few weeks ago with the LG Slimbook.
The present case has to do with the Gram LG, a family of laptops that the company offers with 13.3 and 14 inches, and is known for being the champion in the ‘featherweight’. Few laptops are as thin and light as Gram, who now receives a new member-screen 15.6 inches.
The ‘big’ model boasts LG weight, only 980 grams. A MacBook Pro Retina to its size twice his weight, and a Dell XPS 15 down slightly from the two kilos, so we can get a quick idea of how comfortable it will bring a laptop that offers considerable work space and a power to be reckoned with.
To be more specific with the comparisons, those 980 grams weigh the same as the smaller Gram LG introduced last year. Glancing at the market, only we found a Lenovo LaVie Z, who goes below 850 grams, but its screen is 13.3 inches.
The future of the world of laptops becomes very interesting with the push of LG, very interested in doing different things, or to use its own technology to improve the set. We have seen with weight, but soon we will see significant improvements in screens as they work on OLED panels for these size devices.
The lightest notebook has not been forgotten keypad, or have the latest Intel processors
With power I mean Intel processors, because inside there is room for Skylake. The sixth-generation processors will be available in configurations Intel Core i5 and Core i7. It seems obvious, but it is fair to comment that Windows 10 is the operating system of the creature.
Is the battery will be sacrificed? Early to say something about it, but LG boasts that your laptop with the new Intel hardware can last seven hours live. Koreans always consider too long with this kind of data, so we can easily take a couple of hours of actual performance.
I conclude with known technical specifications: Screen Full HD IPS panels in connectors USB Type-Cand HDMI, and a thickness of only 1.67 centimeters.
Not many more details about the LG Gram 15, just comment the obvious: the screen frame seems minimal, we have a full keyboard that does not lack its numerical section on the right side, and in general we can say that has the size of a 14-inch notebook.
As for monitors, LG has three new ultra-wide models in 29 and 34 inch, two with curvature. It also has a pair of monitors 4K with who wants to lose the usual market price – in 27 and 32 inches – adding USB Type-C connectors.
As appears obvious, all panels are IPS, but a new process is introduced or filters with which the contrast is improved by 30%. It is also striking within only 2.5 millimeters.
