Ways you can encourage your youth group’s worship

  1. Art is a wonderful way to connect with God and worship. You could ask people to draw something they’re thankful for or to interpret a Bible verse. It’s not just about paper and pens. You could also use playdough or plasticine. You could let people use design software on a tablet or computer (great for those who are not naturally artistic).

  1. Nature
Nature helps us to reconnect with God. Take a walk in nature around your neighbourhood. You can still find God’s natural creation even if you live in the middle of a big city. Encourage your group to walk around and use their five-senses to notice what God is doing.
  2. Music

Music is inspirational, especially creating your own. Consider the benefits of Church Sound Systems for your youth work. Find out more at https://apicommunications.co.uk/services/church-sound-systems

  1. Lights and Candles
Candles and lights are excellent tools for changing the mood of a space. Candles and lights help people focus, as well as consider their progress in walking in the Light. You can encourage people to light a candle for someone they are praying for or for an area in their life where they need God’s Spirit more. Or you could ask them to draw a map and pray for God’s Light in that area.
  2. Prayer Wall
You set up a wall and attach lining paper to it. People are encouraged to write things they want to thank God or pray for. This is a wonderful way to get people interacting with God, and for their prayers to be inspirational.
