Apple made a turn somewhat unexpected announcing the iPad Pro, a tablet that lost much of the spirit of the original iPad to go to a big diagonal made it beyond power or technical possibilities, less suitable level of ease of use for a number of users.

The 9.7-inch tablet is more balanced
When I tried the iPad Pro had no doubt that in a work environment that aspires to be more serious (though limited to be talking about iOS) or purely multimedia, the screen almost 13 inches offering unrivaled but where alternatives experience as Surface Pro from Microsoft you took advantage. The iPad Pro tablet was an impressive performance on screen and accusing but too large when we wanted to give real value as tablet, primarily handling with one hand or mobility.
The iPad Pro with 9.7 – inch screen back to the path of more classic format and in my opinion handy for a tablet. In this month of use I could reuse a tablet on the couch to check mail or snooping by social networks and bring it forth discreetly and without everyone watching me. But there have been further developments in terms of design and is no longer the thinnest tablet nor light in its class. For convenience to work with one less despite its diagonal there are better solutions on the market.
The positive counterpart is found in the battery. In this month of use we have been combining two of the most common uses of this model iPad, but we have always tried to use it intensively. Video playback is actually reduced consumption and on days when we have handled the iPad for about 2 hours and another hour video mail / social / web browsing networks, has not had to charge the iPad in about 3 days. What does it takes quite, as we saw, is that recharge, which does not recommend doing on a computer. Best connect it to a PC to synchronize content only, but for charging, use the battery charger Apple serial.

More productive uses, working sessions with the 9.7 – inch iPad Pro leave us a not so great autonomy as Apple paints. Bluetooth keyboard connected, WiFi and a 60% screen brightness, we could be working up six hours, yes, continuously.
A level specification, the main difference (regardless of the screen) between the two iPAD Pro is in RAM. The 9.7 – inch model reduction of 4 to 2GB that memory, something that throughout this month of use have been able to appreciate. On a day to day no delays or waiting but it is true that when we turn to the split and move screen fluidly between applications, yes I have the feeling that there is less immediacy in the actions that I experienced in the following a month of use with the iPad Pro with 4 GB of RAM.
Screen and camera, more than it seems
Beyond design or power, the true value of a tablet is found on your screen. Of this 9.7 – inch iPad Pro it is spectacular in brightness and quality. It has more than enough resolution but in this month of use the most striking has been how it has behaved outdoors. Even with sunlight shining directly on your screen, visibility is perfect, almost no reflections. There is no problem to use in any environment. It has also convinced me the system adaptation of intensity and color temperature of ambient light. Comparison with previous screens is remarkable.
Something to keep in mind with this iPad Pro 9.7 if you plan to use it a lot as the main computer (here helps a lot the quality of applications, starting with the adaptation of the office suite to the iPad seems great and made Apple does not seem very interested in improving its own applications) is that for many tasks I feel much better with almost 13 inch model, of course, but ultimately lose enough portability to other more traditional uses. But do not forget that the iPad screen is 9.7 comfortable to work with one application or split screen while but not for long.
A novelty of this screen 9.7 – inch iPad Pro is the arrival of support for technology Apple pencil. Not being cartoonist one might think that is an accessory that spare but the reality is that I’ve used it more than I did in the 12.9 – inch iPad. With less size, this iPad allow me to take notes more comfortably, sketches and diagrams translate into some ideas for my work and use text recognition applications to pass those handwritten notes into editable documents. The operation has been very good; both for accuracy and for comfort, support can seamlessly hand over the screen. But the size of pencil, very long and slippery, it has been a little nightmare, and we are longing for a fixed place to be able to store it safely.
The big surprise I’ve taken with the camera 9.7 – inch iPad Pro is that I used. So far it had not happened with any tablet, and I’ve tried a few. The camera went wasted in after a month of use not for its quality but for the little sense it had. With the 9.7 – inch iPad Pro it is not there and I have taken to the streets with its as the main camera, but almost.
The image quality obtainable with the camera of this iPad is identical to that of a next – generation iPhone. You have to tune with the grip and try to maintain stability, but excellent images have then used to “are achieved play” with very good image editing scheduled that exist in iOS. Before it did in the iPhone but thanks to the iPad Pro I could go further. If its pack both a smartphone and the iPad Pro, and it was not a photograph point and shoot fast, I took my time, pulled the iPad and made the picture and then review, edit and upload it to my social networks from the tablet.

I have also seen using me much more than I thought video recording. Here the tablet format is more practical for larger screen and a grip that gives more stability. Then we felt the same way: by power, screen and applications available, has been very interesting this month of use to edit videos directly on the iPad and share them without intermediaries.
A professional level, including a camera with quality as including the iPad Pro opens the possibilities for job mobility which collect images or videos in situ, at certain levels, does not require an external device.
It’s not perfect but the keyboard-cover makes sense
Like its big brother, the 9.7 – inch iPad Pro was released accompanied by a keyboard-case created exclusively for it. And so I’ve been testing intensively this month.
Here are my initial impressions have quite changed from the review early, and I think a pretty good choice if you intend to write to the iPad. As protective cover is not very adequate, but neither thickness nor weight hardly altered by wearing this keyboard-founded Apple is very positive. If you use it continuously, soon it lets you write with an outstanding speed, close and after a few days of use to which I get with an external keyboard.
Touch is strange but nice, easy to clean and when it is used properly reflected as a cover. There are improvements such as not allowing more than a writing position, or no keyboard version. It also makes strange that, with the price having, no more function keys or practices (up and down volume or screen brightness, even connectivity), and above all, it is not backlit. There are others options to profit margin, although weight and thickness is very accomplished and it seems a nice addition even write little with it.
While the Smart Keyboard iPad big Pro options Logitech and other manufacturers, or even fully external, seemed to me better, here I doubt they get something better or more balanced is that this keyboard for iPad by third.
