Apple introduced its new MacBook Air, iPad Pro and Mac Mini

The Cupertino Company revealed its new devices that promise to be the most powerful and least heavy that have been created in this segment.

With a ‘Keynote’ made in New York, Apple introduced its new computers and tablets. In the event, the new MacBook Air, Mac Mini and iPad Pro were launched; devices that promise to be lighter and more powerful than their predecessors.

Before the event, it was already rumored that new versions of the MacBook Air and the iPad Pro were going to be presented. However, the apple company was indebted to the new version of its Wireless headphones.

The most important announcement was the MacBook Air, the lightweight laptop. This new version will have a 13-inch Retina display. This technology will allow 48 percent more colors than the previous generation.

It will also have Touch ID – integrated in the keyboard -, Intel Core i5 dual-core 1.6 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.6 GHz, 128 GB of storage, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of SSD storage and three USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports that are used to charge the computer, take pictures, sound and connect to the Internet.

The equipment is made of recycled aluminum, which responds to the green wave that the company has implemented in recent years. The weight will be 1 kilo and 250 grams which makes it 17% lighter than its predecessor. In addition, its battery lasts up to 13 hours playing video which is one of the features that most consumes load.

There will be two teams available, one at USD 1,199 and the other at USD 1,399. The only difference between the two is the memory that is 128 GB for the most economical and 256 GB for the most expensive.

The iPad Pro has had the most revolutionary changes between the announcements that took place this Tuesday. This new version of the tablet will bring Liquid Retina screen – the same as the iPhone XR already sold in Colombia – 11 inches and 12.9 in its Pro version.

Both have resolution of 2.388×1668 pixels thanks to the remarkable decrease in the edges and storage of up to 1 TB. The other great novelty is the implementation of USB-C port, which shows the way Apple to universalize this type of connection. The big advantage is that tablets, computers and iPhones may have the same charger.

Another of the advances is the implementation of the FACE ID, which will allow to unlock the equipment without the fingerprint and only using the registration of the facial features.

But the jewel in the crown of this device is its processor. The 7-nanometer A12X promises to be more powerful than the 92 percent of laptops that have been sold in recent months that would ensure unprecedented performance on a tablet.

This chip is powered by Machine Learning and is capable of making five trillion operations per second thanks to its ability to learn from the user according to the way he uses it. To demonstrate the power of this processor the NBA 2k19 game was used and in the test it was seen that the detail of the face and the tattoos of the players was practically the same as that of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One S.

The accessories will also play a preponderant role in the new iPad. Apple pencil is a magnetic stylus stuck on the edge of tablets and not cable as it was before. It will also have a tactile response and with a double touch you can change functions during its use.

The keyboard will also stick with a magnet and allow you to use the device as if it were a laptop. Only that the operating system is still the traditional IOS.

It also announced the arrival of Photoshop in its iPad version, which will be available from early 2019 with a subscription model.

The Mac Mini, which is one of the desktop computer versions, has its first renewal after four years. This computer will have 8GB of RAM and Intel Core I3 processor, in its simplest version but it has one with Core I7, 2 TB of storage and 64 GB of RAM.

The promise is that they are five times faster in terms of processing and four times faster in memory. Like the other presented equipment, the Mini will have four USB-C Thunderbolt ports.

All the equipment is already pre-sold and will begin selling in the United States and Europe starting on November 7. It is not yet known if they will reach Colombia and its possible date for sale in the country.
